Low Pressure Advisory Eastridge Subdivision

LOW WATER PRESSURE ADVISORY

Eastover Sanitary District

During the afternoon of 8/16/24 Eastover Sanitary District had a waterline break due to a contractor hitting a main line.  The waterline break did cause low or no pressure in parts of the water system. The affected areas of the district are located in Eastridge Subdivision (Eastgate St., High St., and Crosshill St.).

The location of the waterline break has been identified, isolated, and pressure is being restored to the system. However, as a precaution and until additional testing can confirm the absence of coliform bacteria, you are advised to boil all water used for human consumption or use bottled water.  Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Once negative test results are received, the residents will be notified and the boil water advisory will be rescinded.  Thank you for your cooperation and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  Please check our website for updated information on the rescinding of this notice. If you have any questions, please call Eastover Sanitary District at 910-229-3716.
